The purpose of the Verne Morton Memorial Photography Show & Contest is to continue the Verne Morton legacy of appreciating the grace, beauty, and art that surrounds us every day, to document life in Groton during our time, and to preserve a pictorial history that will be enjoyed by future generations. Judges will choose the contest winners based on the following criteria: 1) Photographs must be taken in Groton (Town or Village). 2) Photographs that reflect the Verne Morton tradition. 3) Depiction of life in Groton. 4) Creativity 5) Artist's description of photo and how it relates to the above criteria
